Directions - How to Get to Kathok Centre

Travel from Vancouver to Vancouver Island is via Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Departure Bay in Nanaimo or from Tsawassen to Duke Point just south of Nanaimo. Ferry schedules are available here.

 

From Victoria / Nanaimo


View Larger Map		   Go northwest (up island) on the Island Highway. Take the Highway 4 exit to Qualicum Beach, Port Alberni and Tofino. Once you are on the exit, bear left to select the Port Alberni half of the exit ramp. You will circle around and cross under the Island Highway. Continue on Highway 4 toward Port Alberni for about a mile, until you come to a set of traffic lights. Turn left towards Coombs at the lights. Then almost immediately take your first right turn onto Winchester, as though you were going to Butterfly World. Follow Winchester down to a stop sign, which is Grafton Ave. Turn right on Grafton and go a long half a block. The Grafton Blueberry Farm will be on the right side of the street. Kathok Centre is across from the blueberry farm at 2800 Grafton.

 

From Courtenay / Campbell River


View Larger Map		   Go southeast (down island) in the Island Highway. Take the Highway 4 exit to Qualicum Beach, Port Alberni and Tofino. From Tofino / Port Alberni


View Larger Map		   Go towards Qualicum Beach on Highway 4. Pass Cameron Lake on your left. Pass Hillier’s Sausage on your left. The first right turn after Hillier’s Sausage is Pratt. Turn right on Pratt and follow it to a stop sign, which is Grafton Ave. Turn left on Grafton and go half a block to Kathok Centre, on your right at 2800 Grafton. The Grafton Blueberry farm will be ahead on your left.

If you miss the turnoff to Pratt (which comes up quickly after Hillier’s Sausage), keep going to the traffic lights. Turn right at the lights towards Coombs. Then almost immediately take your first right turn onto Winchester, as though you were going to Butterfly World. Follow Winchester down to a stop sign, which is Grafton Ave. Turn right on Grafton and go a long half a block. The Grafton Blueberry Farm will be on the right side of the street. Kathok Centre is across from the blueberry farm at 2800 Grafton.
